Note about Climate-Change Project:

All artists'projects may have explored climate-change through the effects on the rivers and landscapes, or mayhave considered the wider implications of climate-changes on our future way of life-housing, agriculture, health, education. It could also be interpreted in terms of the political, social, spiritual and cultural changes which areaffecting our lives in the 21st Century. They also were called to find a key theme to be creatively empoweringpeople as individuals. to realise and explore what they themselve can do to help.

David Petts, Ruth Kaye, Karen McDonnell and Nathalie Liege were chosen as lead artists, as well as a group of artists in training who have assisted them, have worked over four days with a variety of groups of children, young people and adults throughout the county.

Nathalie Liege did workshops with children of two primary shools in Aveley Countryside Park, Bridgnorth, Shropshire. One workshop was for painting trees on glass and an other workshop was to make a collage by recycling small glass bits ( grinded) later combined to recycled plastic tiles made with Smile Plastic. As artwork for the exhibition, each tree painted on glass was presented as having its roots in flooded grounds made out of plastic and glass.

The framing and setting of the display of our works in the exhibition has been chosen by the coordinators. I had started treaments for the bone marrow transplant and could not supervise choices made. I am indeed very grateful to the support of all coordinators of this project. The children had chosen with me which recycled plastic and glass panel would be framed with which tree painted on glass.
